The Note

Lindsey has Case over for a slumber party so when Molly got home from the dance and it was time to go to bed, she wanted someone to sleep with her. I found this note with $1.10 when I went into her room to kiss her goodnight.

Nothing like a little money to try and lure us into sleeping in her bed. I like how she went on to explain that we'd only need 10 more dimes to make it $2. She was off by a dime but it was still a compelling argument. Bet I know a Daddy in this house that might be a taker but not for the money, just a chance to snuggle with his little girl.

Daddy/Daughter Dance

Last year, David and Molly went to Pontiac's Father/Daughter Dance and the one they had at Polo Road in the Spring. Molly was just as excited for this third dance. David...not so much. A little lower key this go 'round. Molly did her own hair (notice the red flower with the pink outfit) and picked out her own clothes which included a very wrinkly skirt I didn't get the iron out for. We did at least get a picture before they left for the dance.
Off to the dance with Dad.

Home from the dance and looking like she's still ready to party!

Don't Pick the Flowers

Lindsey and Jay were playing this afternoon. They had been going around the yard with a bucket picking flowers. I called them over and explained VERY clearly that they were to ONLY pick up the flowers that were on the ground. I count on Jay, the more obedient of the two in situations like this. I even told Jay to come and get me if Lindsey started picking the flowers off the bushes.

David got home about an hour later and asked me if I knew Jay and Lindsey had a wagon full of Camillas. I went outside exasperated. Lindsey told me that she didn't pick the flowers off the bushes and that Jay didn't either. She went on to explain that they "batted" them off the bushes, they fell to the ground, and then they picked them up and put them in the wagon.

Wagon full of flowers that looked much better before getting whacked with a bat.

Willow enjoying the wedding isle that was created with all of the flowers picked by Jay and Lindsey.

Jay and Lindsey decided they were going to move. They packed 2 Orange Crush sodas, Molly's pencils, Lindsey's purse, and a bag full of candy hearts left over from the Valentine Party. Everything two crazy 5 year old kiddos need to make them happy.

Spring Bash

Lindsey and her class have been practicing all week for the Spring "Brash" as Lindsey calls it. All the classes were adorable, but of course we thought the 4's were the cutest.

Lindsey gave us her little smirk and wave as they were walking into the church.

Her class sang several different songs but our favorite was the "Chicken Dance."

Molly gave Lindsey a bouquet of weeds she made herself tied up with ribbons.

Lindsey and one of her favorite friends; Jay.

They also had various pieces of their art displayed in the "art show." This is Lindsey's sun.

All three of her incredible teachers: Ms. Joye, Ms. Robin, and Ms. Gayle.
Lindsey pleased with her performance.

Molly not wanting to miss out on an opportunity to pose.

Oh am I going to miss Preschool next year and cute little performances like this! If only she could stay in Preschool forever.

Station 33 Visit

Hannah spent the night with us on Saturday and on Sunday we went over to Christopher's station for a tour. Christopher and Hannah on his bed in the bunk room.
This is on the inside of the firetruck. I thought T. Yandle was lazy so I flipped his tag right side up. I was then told that this is what shows that he is the engineer. David and Christopher both asked that I not "tidy" up anything else on the truck.

A leap from the truck.

A little gazelle workout.

So proud of her dad!
Hannah the Engineer.

Bye Firefighter Cerra. Thanks for the tour.

T-Ball Cuteness

Watching Lindsey play her first T-ball game was so fun. She LOVED her uniform, was so excited to be with her team, and did a great job hitting the ball. Catching the ball was a bit of a different story. She told David her favorite position she played in the game was 1st base because he could get the ball for her. The ball would roll right past her and into the stands, David would run and get it, throw it back to her and life was good. Nobody got out but she was happy. Safe on 1st.
This inning she remembered her glove. The first time she ran out without it and they had to send her back to the dugout. Minor detail.

Determined girl.

The cheering squad got bored and headed for the sand pile.

Great game, Yellow Jackets!

Lindsey's New Toy

Lindsey has had one of her best days in a long time playing with Queenie, the new foster dog. She dresses her up, takes her on walks in the carriage, and carries her everywhere she wants to go. I think this will be a short lived foster which will make David very happy and Lindsey Lou very sad.
